CDSS — Clinical Decision Support System
A Clinical Decision Support System designed to assist medical professionals with data-driven diagnostic and treatment decision-making — presenting clinical information clearly and reliably in a high-stakes professional environment.
The Problem
Medical decision-making is time-sensitive and high-stakes. The interface had to surface complex clinical data in a format that was immediately readable under pressure — with zero ambiguity and no room for UI confusion. Designing for a professional medical audience, who have no tolerance for poor UX when a patient is involved, was a different design challenge from anything I had built before.
The Solution

Designing for high-stakes professional environments requires a level of restraint and clarity that most consumer software doesn't demand. I learned that in contexts where the user is under pressure and the consequences of confusion are serious, simplicity is not a design preference — it's a functional requirement. This project changed how I think about interface design across all my work.
